Chunky maple-walnut spread
Ingredients
1 (8 oz/250 g) package low fat cream cheese, softened at room temperature for one hour
2/3 cup (150 mL) chopped California walnuts
1/2 cup (125 mL) dried cranberries or California raisins
1/4 cup (50 mL) maple syrup
1/4 tsp (1 mL) cinnamon
Preparation
1. Put cream cheese in a medium bowl. Add walnuts, raisins, syrup and cinnamon. Stir with a wooden spoon or rubber spatula until ingredients are mixed together.
2. on bagels, toast, or apple slices.
